All days of Regatta tend to be busy with different crowds, with Saturday being the busiest overall.

Tuesday & Wednesday – these days are busy with the keen rowers and crew supporters.

Thursday – This is our main day for corporate bookings

Friday – Affectionately referred to as ‘locals’ day

Saturday – Definitely the party day!

Sunday – Finals day and family day

Food and Drink during Henley Royal Regatta

While picnicking on the riverbank is technically allowed, it is not the best way to spend the day. The towpath along the Remenham Farm riverbank is a public highway and is maintained and controlled by the council.

With more than 30,000 people attending regatta on busy days in the past, the area can get extremely congested. If the area does become too congested, you will be asked to move on. Further to this, you are not guaranteed a space!

We would strongly advise (especially on the busier days) to make the most of our Riverside Parking and Picnicking spots, which are a great way to secure a private space for the day, right beside the river.

You can also upgrade our day and pre-book a Private Pavilion to host between 10–75 guests in a beautiful riverside setting, complete with a covered marquee and

If you’re looking for options for smaller groups we suggest you pre-book a Pavilion Picnic Table within the Pavilions Enclosure or choose a Reserved Picnic Bench at The Barn Bar for a more informal option at a great price.

We recommend booking in advance to make the most of the brilliant range of options available, with something suited to every budget.

It depends! You are welcome to bring your own alchohol as part of your picnic but only if you have pre-booked a Private Pavilion or a Reserved Picnic Bench within our Pavilions Enclosure, have booked a Riverside Parking & Picnicking spot or are booked on the campsite and are enjoying it within the campsite enclosure.

You are not permitted to bring your own alcohol to the hospitality enclosures, bars or public areas of site.

Please note there is a Designated Public Place Order in place in Remenham and Henley . Designated Public Place Orders (DPPOs) give  officers discretionary powers to require a person to stop drinking and confiscate alcohol or containers of alcohol in public places which means you could be stopped by the police if you are carrying alcohol, especially large amounts.

Remenham Farm during Henley Regatta offers a wide range of food and drink options to suit every kind of visit – from casual street food to fully catered private hospitality.

The Street Food Yard is a brand-new addition for 2025, located within The Barn Bar area. It features some of the UK’s top independent food vendors, offering everything from stone-baked pizzas and gourmet burgers to global cuisine and artisan treats – perfect for grabbing something delicious throughout the day.

Our public bars – including The Start Line Bar and The Barn Bar – are open to all during the day (Barn Bar becomes ticketed on Thursday from 6pm, Friday from 6pm and Saturday from 12pm). Both offer riverside views, a wide selection of drinks, and relaxed seating for enjoying the racing atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a more premium experience, Private Riverside Pavilions are a standout choice. Available for 10–75 guests, these come with optional catering and drinks packages, dedicated service, and a marquee with a garden space right on the riverbank.

A more relaxed yet still reserved option is the Pavilions Picnic Table, offering a great base for the day, complete with a parasol, private table, and access to the Pavilions Bar. You can bring your own food or opt for a pre-booked gourmet picnic delivered to your table.

You can also reserve a table at The Barn Bar, which offers a private picnic bench for the day right by the new Street Food Yard – ideal for enjoying your food with a dedicated space and easy access to the bar and entertainment.

With so many options, we recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred spot.
